Shift5 announces that Larry Prior is joining its board of directors.

Larry Prior is currently COO for The Carlyle Group, where he focuses on the aerospace, defense and government services industries. Joining Carlyle in 2018, he sits on the boards of directors of three portfolio companies and is currently a director of Novetta Solutions, an advanced analytics company that announced its acquisition by Accenture Federal Systems.

Larry sits on the board of directors and chairs the audit committee of KLDiscovery Inc., a leading eDiscovery provider; and also as President of Two Six Technologies, an American company specializing in advanced technological solutions for mission-critical missions.

“I have come to know Shift5 as one of the most capable and visionary teams I have had the pleasure of working with,” says Prior. “The world’s fleets contain digital components, but they were never designed for the digital age. Shift5 does the essential work of unlocking data from these vehicle platforms to help fleet operators operate smarter and safer. “

Larry is joining the Shift5 board at a pivotal time in the company’s growth trajectory. Shift5 has firmly established itself within DoD and commercial markets in the development and adoption of advanced operational technology data and cybersecurity of fleet assets.

“Over the past few months, we have recruited several exceptional and seasoned senior executives to drive Shift5’s growth through operational excellence. With Larry joining our board, we’ve taken a strategic leap forward, ”said Josh Lospinoso, CEO of Shift5. “Larry’s knowledge and experiences over decades of building businesses are unmatched, and I am honored that he is joining our Board of Directors and considers him a friend and mentor. “

Larry’s most recent leadership experience was as President and CEO of CSRA, Inc. where he led a CSC spin-off, a merger with SRA, and an IPO on the NYSE in 2015. La company was acquired by General Dynamics in 2018. Previously, he was Executive Vice President and General Manager of North American Public Sector (NPS) operations of CSC, providing next-generation technology solutions and mission services to the sectors of the US Department of Defense, Intelligence Community and FedCiv.

Prior to joining CSC, Larry held executive positions at BAE Systems Inc., ManTech International, SAIC, LightPointe Communications, High Technology Solutions, San Diego County, and TRW. Earlier in his career, he worked as a professional staff member in the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and served as an intelligence officer in the US Marine Corps.

Larry holds a BA in Biology from Loyola Marymount University and an MA in Security Studies from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.

“Larry Prior brings to our team extensive experience in the defense and aerospace fields, but also great wisdom, leadership and operational acumen that will be essential in transforming Shift5 into a world-class company.” said Guy Filippelli, Chairman of the Board, Maj5.
